Simon Cowell hints at Spice Girls reform
Simon Cowell was being interviewed on ITV’s Lorraine on Friday when he hinted at a new show that would look at finding two new Spice Girls.
Cowell said that he would “love” to be part of a reformation of the iconic 90s girl band but added there would be difficulties in getting all five members to reunite.
“There’s no chance of getting Victoria and Mel C is 50/50, so I say, keep the other three and audition for two new members.”
Mel B and Emma Bunton will join Cowell this weekend as he looks to pick his three acts to take forward to the X Factor live shows. Speaking about the decision he faced, Cowell confessed that not knowing Emma as well as he does Mel, who has appeared as a guest judge during numerous X Factor seasons, made his decision a lot harder.
“They’re meant to be there to make my life easier but Emma says her favourite three, Mel says another three and then I’m thinking another three […]”
The X Factor returns Saturday night at 8pm on ITV1.
